About Us:

MAJOR is a social enterprise and an online one-stop for minority-owned (Black-owned, Latinx-owned, Asian-owned, and Native American-owned) businesses. We offer our clients consulting services, business support services and tools and resources at affordable prices so that they can start, grow, and be MAJOR!

Roles and Responsibilities:

As part of the MAJOR team, your work will help:

  1. Elevate the responses for the RFPs, RFIs, RFQs and grants that our company and clients are applying for.

  2. Assist with drafting outlines, drafting narratives, and revising narratives for RFx bids and grants.

  3. Review and edit other team member’s narratives for use of consistent terms and formatting.

  4. Create clear and effective visual depictions for narratives (e.g., tables and charts).

  5. Contribute to writing reports and project summaries.

  6. Meet with CEO on a weekly basis to discuss new and existing projects.

  7. Provide other/additional support as needed.

Education/Experience:

  • A four-year bachelor’s degree.

  • 1 - 3+ years of experience working in community development, economic development, or the non-profit space.

  • Familiarity and/or experience completing RFPs, proposals, grants and/or technical writing.

  • Experience using Grants.gov and other proposal and grant identification software.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Demonstrated writing/editing/proofreading abilities.

  • Superior research skills and high degree of intellectual curiosity.
